Dr. Cody Bengoa is a native of Humboldt County, born in Winnemucca and raised at the Kings River Ranch. He attended elementary school in Kings River, and later in McDermitt until his junior year of high school. Cody and his family then moved to Winnemucca and he graduated from Lowry High School as a valedictorian. He then attended the University of Nevada, Reno, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and minor in Spanish. During his final semester at UNR, Cody and his wife, Tiffany, studied Spanish at the University of the Basque Country in San Sebastian, Spain .




Dr. Bengoa attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, where he graduated with distinction. At Pacific, he served as president of AMIGOS Eye Care, which is a non-profit organization that provides free, quality eye care to underserved people in the Portland area and worldwide. During that time, he served with other students and doctors to run local vision screenings and traveled to El Salvador and rural Mexico to provide eye care. He also spent 3 years translating for Spanish speaking patients at one of Pacific's vision clinics.

After graduating from Pacific University, Dr. Bengoa practiced for two years in Reno before returning to Winnemucca, where he has been providing eye care since 2006. Dr. Bengoa is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Winnemucca, for which he served as president in 2015-2016. He continues as the Chairman of its Learning Related Vision Screening program which offers no-cost vision screenings to local school children. In 2008, Dr. Bengoa earned his Fellowship with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (FCOVD) after undergoing a rigorous certification process by the COVD International Examination and Certification Board. He has training and experience in providing services in behavioral and developmental vision care, vision therapy, and visual rehabilitation for children and adults. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and Board Certified by the State of Nevada for diagnosing and treating of Glaucoma.  
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Bengoa enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and extended family in the area. He loves being an active part of the community, as well as camping, hiking, and CrossFit. He is also a supporter of the LaRena Smith Bengoa Run, Ride or Walk for the Cure ( which is a local non-profit organization made up of volunteers who work to provide financial assistance to residents of our community who are fighting cancer.




Dr. Gall was born and raised in the city of Spokane, WA, where he lived before serving a 2-year LDS mission in Brazil. He did his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Developmental Biology. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Gall studied optometry at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, where he graduated near the top of his class. He enjoys primary care optometry and learning about and treating ocular diseases. Dr. Gall is excited to care for the visual needs of the people of Winnemucca. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Heidi, exploring the outdoors, and is a sports enthusiast.
